Editorial policy

How we write, what we will not claim, and where we stop and tell you to see a professional.

Who operates this platform

Train For Something is an independent editorial platform covering training, fitness goals and challenges. The platform is operated by Deldico B.V. The operator is also commercially involved with TYRUN. Where relevant, this relationship is disclosed in editorial content.

What we publish

Practical training guidance for people who are not full-time athletes, organised around goals you can measure by what you can do.

How articles are produced

Articles are drafted by the editorial team, sometimes with AI assistance, and reviewed by a human editor before publication. Every piece carries either a named person or our editorial desk as its byline. We do not invent writers and we do not claim qualifications we do not have.

Health and medical boundaries

We are a training publication, not a medical one. That line matters and we hold it:

  • We do not diagnose anything, and we do not tell you what an injury is.
  • We do not present exercise, or any event, as a treatment for a mental-health condition. Movement, routine, being outside and having something to work towards are good things in themselves; they are not a substitute for care, and we will not imply otherwise.
  • We do not write prescriptive nutrition advice or diet plans.
  • Where a question needs a doctor, a physiotherapist or a dietitian, we say so plainly rather than guessing helpfully.

How we talk about bodies

Goals on this site are capability-based: things you can do. We do not run before-and-after photography, we do not publish weight-loss transformations as achievements in themselves, and we do not use language that treats a body as a problem to be corrected.

This is an editorial position, not a claim that nobody should ever want to change their body. It is a decision about what this publication is for.

What we will not invent

  • Members, athletes, coaches or their stories.
  • Statistics, study results or survey findings.
  • Testimonials, quotes or reader numbers.
  • Results from events that have not happened.

Commercial disclosure

Sponsored content, paid partnerships and affiliate links are labelled, in a visible notice at the top of the page. So is any article covering an event our operator is commercially involved with. A commercial relationship never buys a recommendation.
